Secure,
Card-only Vending
Designed for
use with multi-application, single card systems,
DANYL D/5000 Card-access Terminals control and account
for the usage of photocopiers, microfilm
reader-printers, facsimile machines, laser printers,
and similar equipment. D/5000E models can not only
control equipment, but can be used to
"create" new user cards and add value to
existing ones.
D/5000s
utilize magnetic stripe card technology. They accept a
number of card formats, including: stored value cards
(encoded with a monetary value), limit cards (encoded
with a number of units or points), stored value-limit
cards ( encoded with both a debit and limit field),
account cards, and stored value-account cards (which
allow a single card to be used for stored value and
account functions).
Basis for a
SingleCard Platform
By reducing
or eliminating the use of coins and bills, Card-access
Terminals create a safe, "cashless"
environment for educational, industrial, and
commercial campus settings. They can also provide the
foundation for a SingleCard platform, upon which the
university or corporation can build a campus-wide
program that combines many different applications on a
single card. The "open architecture" of the
DANYL "solution" allows its products to be
integrated with other card technologies to form one
easy-to-use, universal system.
In addition
to providing a blanket of security for users and
personnel, D/5000s also protect equipment from
unauthorized usage. Up to 32 unique Site Codes ensure
that cards can only be used at their intended
location, plus provide a means for setting up multiple
card pricing levels.
Multiple
Communications Options
All
Card-access Terminals have a card-accessed Management
Mode with security ID that allows the unit to be
programmed and activity totals retrieved. These tasks
can also be handled using the D/5000’s enhanced
communications capability and RECAP Software. RECAP
allows all Terminal configuration, collection, and
reporting tasks to be handled from a central PC via
hard-wired, dial-up, or a combination of hard-wired
and dial-up communications – as well as via manual,
walk-up collection.
